Re-Introducing My Watercolor Paintings

"I Cannot Hide from You" watercolor painting by nakedpastor David Hayward

A watercolor painting looking up through trees to stars and a full moon.

There's something about me you may not know. I paint. In fact, I've painted watercolors ever since I can remember. There's something mystical about the watercolor process. It's a contemplative experience for me.

I'm very influenced by the northern Canadian landscape, where I live. But I'm also inspired by Asian art, especially ink and watercolor work from China and Japan.

But I wasn't sure you'd appreciate my paintings as yet another expression of my creativity, so I've kept them off my website. I imagined you thinking, "I love NakedPastor cartoons. But you also do watercolor paintings? What do they have to do with each other?! " I know NakedPastor is known for his contentious side. But it's my contemplative side that feeds and nourishes my contentious side. So I've decided to show you this other side of my creativity.  I've also been caught up in the upheaval of life during COVID and stopped painting. I miss it and I'm starting again.

So here is my vulnerable message to say that my paintings are now on my store and I hope you like them. I'm including them in my Black Friday sale which goes on until Cyber Monday. Use coupon code "BF2020" at checkout.

I can't wait to share more with you and if you do like the new work on my website, reach out to me on Twitter or Instagram- I'd love to hear from you!

With love,
David aka NakedPastor
