Description: God and a man are parachuting together. The man's parachute says "Faith". He says, "God, I'm so thankful for my faith!" In the next frame God cuts the man's parachute ropes and he falls. ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR YOUR FAITH? Has life felt like this for you? Yes? I’ll tell you why. Faith is not certainty or confidence on steroids. I hardly use the word anymore because it is so vastly misused. Or overused. Rather, I prefer a kind of knowing. But it is not a discursive knowing. It is an embracing of mystery. It is unknowing.

Description: A man asks Jesus, "Can you tell us about Heaven?" Jesus responds, "Why can't this be Heaven, right here, right now?" HEAVEN HERE NOW I'm frequently asked if I believe in Heaven. The historical Jesus, I believe, did not talk about an afterlife, but rather emphasized the kingdom as manifested within us in our freedom. The logic seems to be if you don't believe in Hell then maybe you don't believe in an afterlife at all, which includes Heaven. I always find this difficult to respond to. I feel like a Buddhist when asked if there's a soul. Yes or no....
