I grew up in Christian circles that valued self-hatred.
They didn’t always call it that.
They called it things like…
crucifying the self,
beating yourself into submission,
It’s taken me years to realize believing in myself is healthy and nothing to hide or be ashamed of.
Useful religion brings us back to our deepest and truest selves with awe.
It means learning how to love ourselves.
It means learning how to believe in ourselves.
Yes, it’s also healthy to know our weaknesses.
But wisdom is understanding that we are not the sum of our weaknesses.
They are only a part of us.
They are only a part of our glorious selves.
Do you love yourself?
Do you believe in yourself?
If you don’t, find someone who does and listen to them.
Learn the art of self-love.
Learn the art in believing in yourself.
Here’s where your life will change.
For the better!
